The winners of the Melksham Town Council Civic Awards 2023 were announced and presented on Friday 22nd March 2024 at the annual Mayor’s Reception.

The winners of each category were:

The Achievement Awards

The Community Service Awards
- Beth Dark- Melksham Carnival, Melksham Lions Club
- Melksham Christmas Lights Group
- David and Caroline Williams- Melksham Rugby Club, Melksham Community Larder
- Laura Smith- Help Counselling Services
- Melksham Lions Club
- Louisa Lewis- Melksham Free Dining

Other highlights of the evening included music and compering from the dynamic duo The DeciBelles, and a successful charity raffle and auction for Help for Heroes.

Town Mayor Councillor Simon Crundell said: 'I would like to thank all the staff and volunteers involved for their dedication in organising this wonderful event. I am especially grateful to Sara Land, the Mayor's Secretary, who managed the organisation, and to the Air Cadets, who volunteered their time to ensure the smooth running of the event. Congratulations to all the Civic Award winners of 2023/24. They truly display the best of Melksham, and we are lucky to have such community-oriented individuals and organisations among us.'
