Melksham's Great British Spring Clean 2024

Melksham Town Council and the Melksham Bloomers would like to say a great big thank you to everyone who came out to support Melksham’s Great British Spring Clean on Sunday 24th March.

A total of 54 volunteers, including residents, Councillors, and Town Council Officers, turned up armed with bin bags and litter pickers to help keep Melksham tidy.

A whopping 62 bags of litter were collected, and we would like to thank idverde UK for their advice and support in ensuring the waste was disposed of efficiently.

A special thank you to the staff at The Pig and Whistle - Melksham, McDonald's, and  The Water Meadow for hosting our volunteers in the Forest, North and East Wards.

A huge thank you and credit as always to Linda De Santiz for her excellent photography and to Melksham Town Crier Jacs Brady for opening the event so beautifully at Melksham Town Hall.

If you enjoyed the event, please note that the Melksham Bloomers meet on the first Sunday of every month at 1 pm at Melksham Town Hall for their regular Tidy Town days. Their next event will now be on Sunday 7th April 2024, 1 pm-3 pm.
