Join Melksham's Great British Spring Clean 2025!

Melksham Town Council, in partnership with Melksham Bloomers, is excited to take part in the Great British Spring Clean 2025, part of the national Keep Britain Tidy campaign. This event is the perfect opportunity for residents to come together and help clean up the community’s much-loved spaces while supporting the UK’s biggest environmental movement.

The event will take place on Sunday, 6 April 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with clean-up efforts focusing on Melksham’s four wards. Community members are encouraged to meet at the following hubs:

  • Melksham Town Hall, Market Place (South Ward Hub)
  • The Pig and Whistle, Woodrow Road (Forest Ward Hub)
  • Leekes, Beanacre Road (North Ward Hub)
  • The Water Meadow, Verbena Court (East Ward Hub)

Volunteers will be provided with litter-picking equipment, including bags and gloves, and guided by local organizers to tackle key areas in need of a spring clean.

This event is part of the Keep Britain Tidy Great British Spring Clean campaign, which runs from 21 March to 6 April 2025.

In 2024, more than 400,000 bags of litter were collected across the country, as thousands of #LitterHeroes came together to protect and restore their local environments.

Let’s keep that momentum going in 2025! Whether you’re a seasoned litter-picker or new to the campaign, your efforts can make a real difference in ensuring that Melksham’s streets, parks, and open spaces are beautiful and welcoming for everyone

Get involved and help keep Melksham tidy!
