Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition Open for Entries 2024

Every year the Melksham Town Mayor sends Christmas cards to key people in the local area such as Chief Executives, Councillors, and Headteachers. This year, Melksham Town Council are inviting local children to enter their designs to be considered for the 2024 Christmas card.

Local primary schools have already been invited to submit entries from their pupils, but the competition is open to ALL Melksham Town children aged 11 and under.

The winning design will feature on the front of the Mayor’s Christmas Card for 2024, and the artist will be invited to turn on the lights at the Christmas Market & Lights Switch On Event on Saturday 7th December 2024 at 6pm.

Please send us your designs by Monday 21st October 2024, and we will announce the winner at the beginning of November.

The theme of your design is completely up to you, but our judging criteria will include:

Creativity

Humour

Originality

Impact and

Relatability

Entries can be submitted by dropping them in to Melksham Town Hall, or posting them to Melksham Town Hall, Market Place, Melksham, SN12 6ES. You can also scan and email them to comms-events@melksham-tc.gov.uk.
