Thank you to everyone who submitted designs and voted; the Mayor and Deputy Mayor thoroughly enjoyed seeing all your artwork.
In fact, they enjoyed the designs so much that they have also arranged for all entries to be on display in the Town Centre for everyone to admire!
Entries will be available to view in the window of Coventry Building Society in Melksham High Street at the end of the month. (Please note, due to limited space, they will only be able to display entries that were received before the closing date.)
Thank you to the team at Coventry for hosting our mini exhibition on their premises and thank you again to everyone who entered!
Any hard copies of entries submitted can be collected from Melksham Town Hall following the close of the exhibition.
All entries, can also be viewed (anonymously!) below.
Winner Announced!
Melksham Town Council are delighted to announce the winner of the Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition 2024......
Congratulations to the young artist who submitted the ‘Melksham in a Milk Bottle’ design!
Despite some concerns over the widespread nature of the voting, this entry was legitimately the most popular, and the design will feature on the Mayor’s Christmas card for 2024.
This design was selected as one of six finalists by Melksham Town Mayor, Councillor Tom Price, and Deputy Town Mayor, Councillor Saff Rabey. The final decision was then put to the popular vote on the Melksham Town Council Facebook page.
We had 37 entries in total and the 6 finalists came from Forest & Sandridge, River Mead, Seend and Shaw Primary Schools and were aged between 6 and 10 years old.
