Storm Darragh: Weather Warnings and Safety Advice forWiltshire

Storm Darragh is set to bring strong winds and heavy rain to Wiltshire in the coming days. A yellow wind warning is in effect for later today (5th December), with further yellow warnings for both rain and wind expected throughout the coming days. These warnings may be updated as the storm progresses.

Given the recent impact of Storm Bert and the heavy rainfall, there is an increased risk of localised flooding, as the ground remains saturated. We encourage everyone to stay informed by regularly checking the Government’s flood alerts and warnings webpage for the latest updates. Residents can also sign up for flood warnings and learn about actions to take when alerts are issued.

It is crucial that everyone exercises caution on the roads during these conditions. Drivers should remain vigilant for surface water and avoid driving through any floodwater.

For weather-related issues such as fallen trees or flooding, please report them via MyWilts.

Stay safe and take care during this stormy period.
